Our Commitment

Action for Wellbeing is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.

How Accessible This Website Is

We have designed this site with the following accessibility features:

• Skip navigation link at the top of every page
• All pages have a single, clearly labelled <h1> heading with a logical heading hierarchy
• All images include descriptive alt text; decorative images use empty alt attributes
• Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for normal text (WCAG AA)
• All interactive elements are keyboard accessible with a visible focus indicator
• Touch targets are at least 44×44px (WCAG 2.5.5)
• Form fields have explicitly associated labels
• The page language is declared (lang="en")
• Mobile navigation uses ARIA attributes and is keyboard accessible
• External links are identified as opening in a new tab
• Semantic HTML5 elements used throughout (main, nav, header, footer, article)

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following potential limitations:

• The Google Maps embed on the Contact page may not be fully accessible to all screen reader users. If you need location information in an alternative format, please contact us.
• Images sourced from Unsplash are provided with descriptive alt text written by us, but may not perfectly describe every detail of each image.
